What's cooking for Adcredo halfway through 2024: A message from Co-Founder Mikael Englund

Back in 2008, I was working at Aftonbladet, the biggest newspaper in Sweden. It was a different era for advertising. We had a hotline for agencies and brands to call us directly. The first person to answer the call often secured the order, provided the client wasn’t already in the CRM system. And what did it take to claim a client? Just write their name and tag yourself. It became clear that registering clients in the CRM was more beneficial than working on outbound strategies.

Aftonbladet back then was akin to what Meta is now. It was a behemoth, providing reach, targeting different groups, and offering various bidding and content strategies. Agencies and brands funneled their entire digital budgets to us because we provided everything they needed. But times changed. Social media emerged, and soon, buying display in bulk and using programmatic buying became more efficient. Programmatic buying continues to grow, allowing any publisher to get a slice of the pie.

This evolution is now happening within social media and search advertising. It's no longer a single-player game. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) remains crucial, but platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat, X, and Pinterest have become significant players. Each offers unique advantages depending on your goals and target audience. The multichannel social advertising landscape is mirroring the programmatic advertising trend. When you make it easy to buy across different publishers and platforms, the money follows. Ease and scalability are the holy grails of advertising.

Fast forward to mid-2024, and Adcredo is thriving with over 3000 clients. We're witnessing a growing demand for platforms beyond Meta. While Meta still leads, we anticipate exponential growth for LinkedIn, Snap, and TikTok. With AI-generated content solutions, we're addressing one of the biggest challenges: creating high-quality content quickly and affordably. This allows brands to go live on new platforms in minutes.
