Meet the Team: Martin
Meet Martin Ploug , Adcredos CTO, Co-Founder and Full Stack Developer with a passion for Ad-Tech and traveling.
Martin, can you tell us about yourself?
I moved to Sweden in 2006 from Denmark with only one word in the luggage “Hejdå”, pretty much the only word danes know in Swedish. I live in Stockholm and started my journey into becoming a professional computer nerd attending university at KTH. I would call it the “wax on, wax off” effect, it wasn't until after I finished school i understood i was given the skills to actually build things with just a laptop and internet.
Can you tell us about your background and how you became CTO at Adcredo?
Following my studies in Computer Science at KTH, I started my own consulting company. During this time, I had the opportunity to work with diverse startups spanning from children's television to hotel booking websites. However, my passion was truly ignited when I became involved with an ad tech company that focused on self-service for small direct customers. The dynamic and constantly evolving digital advertising industry captured my attention, and I realized the potential for growth and innovation. Utilizing my skills in platform management and partnering with Glim's expertise in media, we co-founded Adcredo.
Can you tell us about the Adcredo's vision and mission for the multimedia platform?
By integrating the three core digital advertising pillars of social, search, and programmatic into a single platform, we enable the management of an entire media company from a centralized location. This solution presents immense potential, as it empowers us to develop new features on top of these platforms and assist users in making data-driven decisions, rather than relying on intuition alone. With this innovative approach, we can maximize the impact of digital advertising and help our users achieve unparalleled success in the industry.
How does Adcredo stay ahead of the competition in terms of technology and innovation?
Working closely with our clients and listening to their needs, the platform's main purpose is to make it easier for them to work with all the digital platforms available.
Can you talk about the company's approach to user experience and how technology plays a role in that?
User experience is everything, you can have a system that can do everything. But if the user doesnt understand how to use it, you lose. Sadly most of the advertisement platforms that exist today are very advanced and difficult to use. With adcredo we want to make advanced setupts possible through an easy understandable interface.
Can you share any future plans or upcoming features for the Adcredo platform?
AI is big a buzz word and it can help with many things, our first integration is with ChatGPT to make is faster and easier to write ad copy. But we have our sight on more Ai adaption in to Adcredo.
What is your favorite feature on the platform?
Being able to push all your creatives to multiple platforms in one go. Build your entire campaign in one place and work with one interface.
Can you share some personal interests or hobbies outside of work, and how you maintain a work-life balance?
I like to go to the gym and travel, the latest place being Dubai where I worked remotely for two weeks!
What’s something interesting, funny, or unique about you that your colleagues should know?
I love the soup “Varma koppen” and have started eating it every day for lunch..
